You can never expect what to know for a journey in the wilderness, or know what to expect.  Best laid schemes o’ mice an’ men, often go awry…  We washed in streams while staring up at the pride of the Half Dome.  Often times a thought crossed my mind.  Some 14 miles later, with 3 left to go, I could feel a hot spot arise beneath my foot.  A blister, oh joy.
