To View Mountains: Day 15 – Pinchot Pass

I drifted about from rock to rock, from stream to stream, from grove to grove. Where night found me, there I camped. … I asked the boulders I met, whence they came and whither they were going.” – John Muir

We were in it for the long haul.  Another day, another pass.  Pinchot netted us about 2100′ elevation gain before noon.  It was nice to have it done before lunch.  Unfortunately, differing opinions were becoming very strong and tension was building within the group. Sometimes the best thing to do was speak to the mountains.

We broke off from our guardian angel, a solo hiker we had met earlier, and continued up the next mountain towards Glen Pass, but stopped at Baxter Creek for the night.  It was a quiet night.

15.9 Miles

~2800′ Elevation Gain

~2000′ Elevation Loss
