Who would have guessed I’d have so much fun in Nashville?
Anyone who knows me, that’s who.
…
Arriving in Nashville, I was hungry. Luckily, a street over from where I was staying was one of the best Hot Chicken places in Nashville, according to Yelp. (Yeah, apparently hot chicken is a phenomenon in Nashville. And yes, it’s awesome.)
While waiting in line for this heavenly culinary gift, I met a guy who was there with a group of Nashville Hot Chicken enthusiasts. Although I originally got my order to go, he invited me to have dinner with his group of 20 or so, and of course I obliged.
The next night, Nashville had it’s first weekly series of Live On The Green in the downtown. Matt and Kim headlined and played their asses off. Literally. Kim kept standing on the drum stool and slapping her ass.
Nashville is one of those super awesome cities with a bike-share system, so on Friday I rented one and rode all around the city for $5.
I jumped on the bike and practiced looking ridiculous.
…Until the skies opened up and poured on me.
Nashville had so much to offer, I almost didn’t want to leave. I was scheduled to head to Memphis on that Saturday, but when I was invited to a boat party, I was easily swayed into staying for another day.
Nashville was awesome. Good food, good music, and a wild crowd! One thing is for sure, I’ll be back to this city before to long.
